Broward County residents give the thumbs up.

Broward County residents overwhelmingly approved the exploration of creating a watershed improvement district for Broward County by the Broward Soil and Water Conservation District with a vote of 254,173 yes, which represents over 70% of all the votes cast on November 7, 2006. Over the next two years, the Broward Soil and Water Conservation District in coordination with local, state and federal agencies will explore the possible formation of a watershed improvement district to address local natural resource concerns.
